Grandma Olson, 1913-2005
Wednesday, December 7th, 2005 by JeffGrandma Myrt Olson passed away on Monday. She was 92 years old. Rachel and Laura and I had just been at the hospital to visit her on Sunday, and we had a nice time visiting with her. We didn’t expect that it would be the last time we would see her.
Grandma told us during our visit that she was ready to go to heaven…as is true for most people, I think she did not really enjoy the prospect of growing more frail and less able to care for herself. She and my Grandpa Stan were married for 63 years, and at this point in their lives they were both prepared for the inevitable.
We will be celebrating Grandma Olson’s life at a memorial service this Friday.
