We have some sad news. Miss Piggy, our sweet little guinea pig, died on September 9th. We sent out an e-mail obituary a few days later, and have now finally put together a Miss Piggy remembrance page.

Not all the news is sad, though. Our happy news is that we have a new Cavia porcellus member of the family! Her name is Abby (Abigail Harriet Olson is her full name), and she’s only 5 weeks old, and very cute. Pictures to come!

In other news, I (Jeff) am back in school, and am managing to keep my head above water (so far, anyway). I also have a new job, still at West Group, but now working in a group called eSolutions Development. My current project is working on developing Perl-based conversion programs for the XML content for a re-release of LawOffice.com.

Rachel is working a new schedule at St. Joseph’s Hospital, one where she only has to work every third weekend (instead of every other), but on those weekends has to work 12 hour shifts, alternating between 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am.
